Intensive Russian Attacks Disrupt Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to local officials.

Moscow has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and applying restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and several individuals were injured.

The strikes follow evenings of aerial attacks in the region, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
